Acted as PR and communications adviser to the company between 1987-98.
At the time of commencing work Johnson Matthey was associated with its heritage of banking. The challenge was to change these perceptions among investors, customers, suppliers, partners and peers to reflect the reality of the company's modern day operations and to communicate a forward looking high technology business with strong growth potential and clear expertise in long-term growth industries. This was achieved with the share price increasing by ca. 500% over the period and with a world leadership reputation in environmental materials technology and fuel cell technology.
